FULL DESCRIPTION
Embark on an unforgettable adventure with our 4-Day Mount Kenya Climb via the Sirimon Route! This trek offers a perfect blend of scenic beauty, challenging terrain, and a chance to experience the majestic heights of one of Africa's most iconic mountains. Your journey begins with a comfortable departure from Nairobi at 9:00 AM, where you'll travel through the lush landscapes of Nanyuki, stopping briefly at the Equator for a photo opportunity. Once you reach your hotel in Nanyuki, enjoy an afternoon walk to the Equator and prepare for the exciting days ahead, with dinner and an overnight stay at the welcoming Nanyuki Simba Lodge.

On Day 2, after a hearty breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the Sirimon Gate where your hike begins. The first stretch takes you through the lush forest to Old Moses Camp at 3,300 meters, where you’ll spend the night. This is the perfect spot to acclimatize and take in the stunning surroundings, which range from dense vegetation to expansive views of the mountain. The hike takes around 3 to 4 hours, covering approximately 9 kilometers, setting the tone for the next days of adventure.

Day 3 takes you higher, with a rewarding trek to Shipton's Camp at 4,200 meters, passing through the dramatic Liki and Mackinder's Valleys. Expect a more challenging but equally rewarding 6-8 hour hike over 17 kilometers. As you ascend, the landscape changes, offering a unique opportunity to witness the diversity of Mount Kenya’s flora and fauna. On the final day, you’ll enjoy a scenic descent to the Sirimon Park Gate, where your vehicle will take you back to Nairobi, bringing the adventure to a satisfying close. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or looking to challenge yourself, this trek offers an amazing experience to remember!

ITINERARY
Day 1:
Departure from Nairobi is at 0900 hrs(either from hotel or airport) to Nanyuki and stop at the Equator briefly. Continue to Nanyuki where you check in your hotel. The afternoon is spent preparing for the hike. A complimentary walking tour to the Equator. Dinner and overnight at the Nanyuki Simba Lodge.

Day 2:
After breakfast transfer to Sirimon gate and hike to Old Moses camp for overnight (3300m), 3 to 4 hrs hikes (9kms). Old Moses is where you acclimatize as you also come across different vegetation.

Day 3:
After breakfast Hike to Shipton's camp (4200m )through Liki and Makinders Valley for overnight (6 to 8 hrs hikes) 17 kms.

Day 4:
After breakfast descend to Sirimon Park Gate to catch your vehicle to Nairobi.
