FULL DESCRIPTION
Embark on an unforgettable 3-day safari adventure to the iconic Maasai Mara Game Reserve, where you’ll witness the incredible wildlife and breathtaking landscapes of one of Kenya's most famous reserves. On Day 1, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi at 7:30 am for a scenic 5-hour drive to the Maasai Mara, where you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. The Maasai Mara is renowned for its rich wildlife, and you’ll have the chance to spot lions, elephants, buffalo, and much more. Your overnight stay will be at the comfortable Mara Sopa Lodge, where you’ll rest and recharge for another exciting day.

Day 2 offers a full day of game drives in the Maasai Mara, exploring its diverse ecosystems, from vast savannahs to acacia woodlands. Packed lunches will be served as you spend the day marveling at the stunning wildlife, including the Mara’s famous lions, cheetahs, and herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelles. The reserve is also home to the elusive leopard, crocodiles, and hippos that inhabit the Mara River. Whether you're a seasoned safari-goer or a first-timer, this day will be filled with awe-inspiring moments and unforgettable experiences amidst the rich, untamed beauty of the Mara.

On Day 3, after an early breakfast, you have the option to visit a traditional Maasai village to learn about the local culture and customs (additional cost). Afterward, we’ll depart the Maasai Mara and make our way back to Nairobi, with a lunch stop along the way. You’ll arrive in Nairobi by 3 pm, filled with memories of an adventure you’ll cherish forever. Optional activities like a hot air balloon safari and Maasai village visit are available for those seeking even more excitement. ITINERARY
Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Distance: 285 km (5 hrs). Pick up from your hotel at 7.30 am and drive into the Maasai Mara with its amazing concentration of wildlife and outstanding scenery. Lunch. Afternoon game drive. Overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge

Day 2: Maasai Mara
Enjoy full-day game drives in the Mara. Packed lunches will be served. Masai Mara is situated to the west of Nairobi, on Tanzania's northern border. It is an extension of the larger Serengeti National Reserve in Tanzania.

The Maasai Mara offers wonderful scenery and abundance as existed a century ago. It is a reserve of breathtaking vistas, panoramas of vast rolling plains, hills, and woodland groves, well watered by the lovely Mara River, which bisects the reserve from north to south. The Mara is the home to the largest population of lions in Kenya, these magnificent beasts spend most of the day sleeping in the shade of acacia trees. Vast herds of buffalo, Zebra, and wildebeest roam the plains. Impala, gazelle, giraffes, and hartebeest grace the landscape, and the cautious topi may be seen standing sentinel on earth mounds on a constant lookout for predators. The waters of the Mara River are home to crocodiles and pools of hippos, the acacia woodlands and revering forests favored by leopards and elephants, and the open savannah and dry bush areas play host to the plain's game and their attendant predators such as Lion, cheetah, hyena, and jackal.

Day 3: Maasai Mara - Nairobi
Early breakfast has an optional Masai village visit at an extra cost, exit Masai Mara lunch en route to Nairobi arriving at around 3 pm.
