What you will expect

The manor house was first built in a classic colonial style then in 1889 it was the first residence on the island to be outfitted with electricity. Made of wood of the time, the house is decorated with pretty turrets that give it an imposing appearance, as well as a large central hall, unusual at the time. The plantation was transformed into a museum in 2000, and today it marks the first stop on the historical 'Route du Thé'. Exotic plants fill the garden under the shade of camphor trees, and you can sip savoury teas in the converted billiard parlour.
