FULL DESCRIPTION
Welcome to our traditional half-day Seychelles cooking class experience! We are a living heritage of Seychelles that invites visitors to learn how to cook traditional Seychelles dishes with locals inside the famous cultural craft village.

Our classes are held in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, where visitors can learn about Seychellois culture and cooking techniques while preparing authentic local dishes. From fish curry and coconut chutney to breadfruit chips and fruit bat stew, our classes offer a wide range of Seychelles flavors.

Our experienced local hosts are passionate about sharing their knowledge and expertise with visitors and will guide you through the process of preparing delicious Seychelles dishes step-by-step. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced cook, our classes are suitable for all levels of culinary expertise.

At the end of the class, visitors can sit down and enjoy the dishes they have prepared together with their hosts while learning more about Seychelles' culture and traditions. ITINERARY
09:30 am - Welcome drinks are served with traditional snacks “Coco Zerm”, coconut, breadfruit chips, banana chips, etc.
09:40 am - The tour will begin with a guided visit to the main area of the plantation house “Gran Kaz”.
10:00 am - Next stop is to visit the tortoises, and other animals like local chicken, local Rooster, etc. Take this opportunity to feed them and take photos.
10:15 am - Explanations of medicinal plants and endemic plants of Seychelles found around the property.
10:20 am - Performance of coconut dehusking and grating with explanations of copra and coconut oil making.
10:30 am - Group 1: At the traditional Kitchen, through explanations guests can participate and watch the authentic way of grilling fish and other local dishes and accompaniments.
Group 2: At “Lakaz ROZA” learn how to make coconut leaf basket “Kapatya”, coconut leaf hat, local broom, traditional rag doll and crochet coaster, and placemats.
11:20 am - Group’s swop:
Group 1 - Proceed to “Lakaz ROZA” for craft making.
Group 2 - Proceed to the traditional kitchen.
12:00 pm - Food tasting and a creole lunch will be served accompanied by locally made drinks.
01:00 pm - Lastly before heading back to the ship/hotel, clients will be free to do some shopping at the craft village.
01:30 pm - End of the tour.
